November 30 Teacher Bargaining
Bargaining progression, November 30, 2023:
HSD Proposal, 8:00 am
1. Language items we already agreed upon in previous bargaining sessions.
2. One year contract
3. Lane movement
a. Movement: Teachers may advance a maximum of one lane in any one year. However, in order to qualify for movement in any particular school year, the teacher will have notified the Human Resources Office in writing of the anticipation of obtaining the credits necessary, not later than March 15, in the previous school year.
4. Compensation
a. .5% for 2023-2024 retroactive
5. $60 per month contribution to the insurance premium for the 2023-2024 school year only, retroactive to July 1.
HEA Proposal, 9:35 am
§ Language items agreed upon.
§ One Year Contract
§ Lane Movement:
o Maximum of three lane changes in 2 years
o Starting on July 1, 2024 and sunset on June 30, 2026
o This language would be signed in a separate MOU
§ Compensation: 1.5% increase for 2023-2024 (retroactive)
§ Insurance:
o The District shall contribute to the employee cafeteria benefit plan the amount of $840.00 per month for the 2020-2021 school year, $_____ for the 2021-2022 school year and $969.40 $1,031.40 for the 2022-2023 school year.
§ PLC: one PLC Mondays can be used by building principals for school wide PLC work; three PLC Mondays will be used at the sole discretion of the teacher/team. All PLC work will be completed onsite.

4. Compensation
a. .5% for 2023-2024 retroactive
5. $62 per month contribution to the insurance premium for the 2023-2024 school year only, retroactive to July 1. This amount will not be considered as compensation for purposes of same salary protection, and will not be provided in subsequent years absent further negotiations.
6. PCL – one Monday per month – staff will remain on site but will have professional discretion to either collaborate with co-workers or work on school related projects independently.

o Movement: Teachers may advance a maximum of one lane in any one year. However, in order to qualify for movement in any particular school year, the teacher will have notified the Human Resources Office in writing of the anticipating of obtaining the credits necessary, not later than March 15 in the previous school year.
o This language will sunset on June 30, 2027.
o This language will be signed in a separate MOU.
§ Compensation: 1.5% increase for 2023-2024 (retroactive)
§ Insurance:
o $62 per month stipend contribution to the insurance premium for the 2023-2024 school year only, retroactive to July 1. This amount will not be considered as compensation for purposes of same salary protection, and will not be provided in subsequent years absent further negotiations.

The HEA Bargaining Team is moving forward with this 11:25 offer to a vote of the membership without a recommendation of a yes or no vote.
